The Department of Early Education and Care (EEC) has scheduled regional informational meetings about its new Background Record Check (BRC) process. These meetings will provide information regarding the required Sex Offender Registry Information (SORI) and fingerprint-based national and state crime database checks, along with a review of the Criminal Offender Record Information (CORI) and Department of Children and Families (DCF) BRC and discretionary review processes.

  • Specific group requirements (e.g., transportation providers, EEC-funded informal caregivers, etc.)
  • Review of how to conduct a discretionary review
