Boat pumpout facilities provide a convenient way to properly dispose of boat sewage. Many of the more than 120 pumpouts in Massachusetts are pumpout boats. These vessels have the capacity to bring the pumpout to the boater, providing added convenience. See Boat Pumpout Facilities in Coastal Massachusetts for a complete list of pumpouts for recreational boats, organized by coastal region. Also, an interactive GoogleTM Map of Pumpouts for Recreational Boats and a GoogleTM Map for Commercial Vessel Pumpouts are available that display pumpout locations along the Commonwealth's coast.
In addition, the Clean Vessel Act Program produces a wallet-sized Boaters Pocket Guide to Pumpout Facilities and Tides, which is printed on water-proof paper and contains pumpout information and a tide chart for Massachusetts. To get a copy, email your request and mailing address to email@example.com.
