Black Powder Education Course Schedule
The Black Powder Education Course is one of several "advanced" courses offered by the Massachusetts Hunter Education Program. It was developed by the National Muzzle Loading Rifle Association and includes a minimum of 10 hours classroom instruction. Topics cover the selection of hunting equipment, state laws, the safe handling of muzzleloaders and powder storage. A Basic Hunter Education certificates is a pre-requisite for all students under 18 years of age. The course is free of charge.
All 2014 Black Powder Education Courses are complete. The season has ended.
Courses are offered 2-4 times a year typically in the spring and fall. A schedule is posted when volunteer instructors finalize course arrangements.
