Wildlife (wild' lif '): n. animals that are not tamed or domesticated and includes, but is not limited to, insects, mollusks, spiders, birds, reptiles, fish, amphibians and mammals

Though many people tend to visualize furry, four footed animals as wildlife, the actual definition of this word is much broader as is the scope of MassWildlife's activities and responsibilities.
