On January 30, 2014, the Department of Environmental Protection (MassDEP) issued a Air Quality Plan Approval and Prevention of Significant Deterioration (PSD) Permit to Footprint Power Salem Harbor Development LP for that company's proposed 630-megawatt, natural gas-fired electric generating facility that would be built near the current Salem Power Station, a coal-fired power plant that is slated to close permanently. The following related documents are available for online review:
