To be listed by the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection (MassDEP) as a qualified third-party waste ban inspector, you are required to:
- Complete agency-provided waste ban training, and
- Submit a BWP SW 48 - Third-Party Inspector Qualifications Statement to demonstrate you meet all other applicable requirements.
MassDEP will maintain a current list of qualified third-party waste ban inspectors on the Massachusetts Waste Disposal Bans web page.
The agency provides training two to three times annually, depending on need. See below for a schedule of upcoming sessions.
Waste Ban Training Schedule
MassDEP has scheduled the following training session:

Please note this training is required to become a registered third party waste ban inspector. However, this is a one-time training requirement.
