  • Toxics Use Reduction Program Reporting Amnesty
    Through June 30, 2016, MassDEP will accept past due Toxics Use Reduction Act (TURA) annual chemical use reports from companies that voluntarily disclose their failure to file in compliance with the law. Those taking advantage of the amnesty program will receive only a “warning letter” and be required to pay just one year of past-due chemical use and administrative late fees.

    TURA reporting and planning requirements apply to all toxic substances listed. Updated to include chemicals the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has added to the Toxics Release Inventory (TRI) for TURA and TRI reports due in July 2016 and a notice of new TURA high hazard chemicals for reports due in July 2017.
