State Officials to Kick Off Two-Month "Massachusetts Agriculture Rides the T" Campaign

WHAT:

On Tuesday, September 6, 2011, Massachusetts Department of Agricultural Resources (DAR) Commissioner Scott J. Soares will join MBTA Acting General Manager Jonathan Davis to kick off the "Massachusetts Agriculture Rides the T" campaign at the Copley Square Farmers Market, located near the MBTA's Orange Line Back Bay stop in Boston. By incorporating quick response (QR) code technology, the campaign is aimed at directing T commuters to local agricultural attractions, including local farms, farmers' markets, agricultural fairs, wine and cheese makers, pick-your-own orchards, and aquaculture sites.
