- The Massachusetts Environmental Trust (MET) is a grant program within the Executive Office of Energy and Environmental Affairs. Our mission is to support projects that support innovative approaches to protect and restore natural resources. Funded through the sale of environmental license plates and legal settlements, MET is one of the largest sources of grant funds for water resources in the Commonwealth. The Dam and Seawall Repair and Removal Fund was established in 2013 by the Massachusetts Legislature to promote public health, public safety, and ecological restoration.
