The Executive Office of Energy and Environmental Affairs (EEA) and its agencies offer a diversity of funding programs to help the Commonwealth meet our goals. These grant opportunities include:
- Agricultural Programs
- Energy Programs
- Forestry Programs
- Land and Recreation Programs
- Waste/Recycling Programs
- Water Programs
- Emergency Planning Programs
Initiated in 2008, the Office of Grants and Technical Assistance assists those seeking grant, loan, and technical assistance identify appropriate EEA funding and technical assistance. The Office of Grants and Technical Assistance also works with all competitive grant and loan programs within EEA and its agencies to ensure that programs are accessible and widely-available to end users. In this way, the Office serves as a clearing house for information on all EEA grants, loans, and technical assistance programs, while promoting greater program coordination and efficiency. This Office also helps evaluate as well as publicize grant program results.
Technical assistance on a wide variety of energy and environmental topics is available from EEA and its agencies including the Dept. of Agricultural Resources (DAR), Dept. of Conservation and Recreation (DCR), Dept. of Energy Resources (DOER), Dept. of Environmental Protection (MassDEP), Dept. of Fish and Game (DFG), and the Dept. of Public Utilities (DPU). Distinct from funding, Technical Assistance is the provision of staff time and attention, or tools such as model regulations, to assist communities, businesses, and others in attainment of energy and environmental goals.
