The Toxics Use Reduction Program hosted several training sessions for Toxic Use Reduction Planners. The Toxics Use Reduction Institute (TURI) and OTA repeated the Resource Conservation Planning Day 1 on January 26, 2010 at the UMass-Lowell Inn & Conference Center in Lowell, MA. This workshop familiarized planners with the objectives, methods and requirements of Resource Conservation (RC) Planning options available under the new 2006 TURA Amendments. This course fulfills six of the 12 credits required in order to certify a RC Plan. The other 6 credits may be in any asset area of resource conservation. Planners who are interested in certifying RC plans should seriously consider attending this training. This course is a specific CE area for RC planning and was only one offered this fiscal year. More information is available on the TURI website. Check the OTA website and the TURI website for updates.
