Leading by Example Awards

The LBE Awards recognize outstanding efforts among Commonwealth agencies, public colleges and universities, and municipalities that have implemented policies and programs that have led to significant and measurable environmental and energy benefits. 

The 2015 LBE Awards highlighted a variety of innovative public sector sustainability efforts. Recipients were the Massachusetts State College Building Authority, the Massachusetts Clean Energy Partnerships for Wastewater and Drinking Water facilities, Worcester State University, UMASS Boston, the Town of Kingston, Belmont Light, two individual awards – Martha Grover, Energy Efficiency Manager of the City of Melrose and the Department of Conservation and Recreation’s energy and sustainability champions – Stephen Brown, Yvonne Jones, and Raul Silva.
