TOMORROW: Energy Officials to Hold Office Hours in Springfield about the ReBuild Western Massachusetts Program

WHAT:

Officials from the Massachusetts Department of Energy Resources (DOER) and the Massachusetts Clean Energy Center (MassCEC) will be available to answer questions tomorrow, December 6, about the ReBuild Western Massachusetts program, which is designed to help communities affected by the June 1 tornadoes. DOER and MassCEC staff will facilitate assistance and provide information regarding the application processes for homeowners and businesses.

The ReBuild Western Massachusetts program includes funding support of zero interest loans and grants for residential rebuilding and repairs, providing incentives for energy efficient space and water heating, air-conditioning and weatherization measures, solar photovoltaic (PV) and solar thermal incentives, technical assistance funding to identify energy efficient opportunities in buildings and one-to-one services to maximize the opportunity for each applicant to participate. The DOER and the MassCEC partnered to provide $8 million for those affected by the tornadoes to rebuild making investments in energy efficiency and clean energy.

Eligible participants in the ReBuild program include those who can document damage caused by the June 1 storms. Residents from any of the affected communities are welcome.
