State Agricultural Officials Kick Off Christmas Season with Annual Christmas Tree Cutting Ceremony

WHAT:

Department of Agricultural Resources (DAR) Commissioner Scott Soares will join local legislators to kick-off the holiday season by cutting a Massachusetts-grown Christmas tree. DAR encourages Massachusetts residents to buy locally-grown trees from one of the Bay State's 280 Christmas tree farms.

DIRECTIONS:

From Route 2 : Take exit 32 to Rt. 13 North, and continue to Rt. 2A. Take a Right onto 2A and follow for approx. 1000 feet, then turn left onto Rt. 13 North. The farm is 1.1 miles on the left.

From Route 119 North and South : Take Rt. 13 South from Townsend Center and follow Rt.13 for 4.4 miles. The farm is on the right opposite Lunenburg Highway Garage

From Route 2A North and South : Take Rt. 13 North at the Gas Station, the farm is 1.1 miles on the left.
