Federal and State Environmental Officials Make Announcement Relating to Offshore Wind

| WHAT: | Massachusetts Executive Office of Energy and Environmental Affairs (EEA) officials will join representative of the U.S. Department of the Interior’s Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM) to announce next steps in the federal planning process for the potential of offshore wind energy projects in areas of federal waters on the Outer Continental Shelf south of Massachusetts. The event will take place in Charlestown at the Wind Technology Testing Center, the first facility in the United States capable of testing large-scale wind turbine blades up to 90 meters in length, which opened last year. |
