Energy Officials Announce New Programs to Assist Western Massachusetts Communities Rebuilding from Tornado Damage



In response to the devastating tornados earlier this summer in Western Massachusetts, on Thursday, August 4 in Monson Energy and Environmental Affairs Secretary Richard K. Sullivan Jr. and the Massachusetts Department of Energy Resources (DOER) will announce a new set of incentives to assist building owners affected by the June 1 storms. Administered by DOER and the Massachusetts Clean Energy Center (MassCEC), the programs will help home and building owners rebuild or repair damaged buildings, focusing on energy efficient practices and renewable energy technologies.
