State Environmental Officials to Celebrate Reconstruction of Scituate Harbor Boat Access

WHAT:

On Wednesday, August 24 at 10 a.m., Department of Fish and Game (DFG) Commissioner Mary Griffin will join with state and local officials to celebrate improvements to the Scituate Harbor Boat Access Area. The reconstruction project, overseen by DFG's Office of Fishing and Boating access, is one of several across the region that will enhance boating access and fishing opportunities on the South Shore.

DIRECTIONS:

From Route 3A (Local)

• Take Route 3A North or South to First Parish Road. (Turn right onto First Parish Road if travelling Route 3A North from Marshfield area; turn left onto First Parish Road if travelling Route 3A south from Cohasset/Hingham area).
• Follow First parish Road about 8/10 mile and continue onto Beaver Dam Road.
• Follow Beaver Dam Road about 1.4 miles and turn left on Jericho Road.
• Scituate Harbor Boat Access Area is on Jericho Road about 1/3 mile on right.

From Route 3 (Greater Boston or Cape Cod)

• Take Route 3 to Exit 13, Route 53 North toward Route 123 East.
• Follow Route 53 North about ½ mile and turn right onto Route 123 East (Webster Street).
• Follow 5.8 miles and turn right continuing on Route 123 East (Cornet Stetson Road).
• At traffic circle, take 2 ^nd exit onto New Driftway.
• Follow about 1/3 mile and continue straight onto Driftway.
• Follow Driftway about 1 mile and continue onto New Kent Street.
• Follow New Kent Street about 1/3 mile and continue onto Kent Street.
• Follow about 7/10 mile and continue onto Front Street.
• Follow ½ mile and turn right onto Jericho Road.
• Scituate Harbor Boat Access Area is on Jericho Road about 1/3 mile on right.
