Patrick-Murray Administration to Celebrate Reconstruction Of Two New Bedford Boat Ramps

WHAT:

On Friday, August 12, officials from the Massachusetts Department of Fish and Game (DFG) will join state legislators and local municipal officials in New Bedford to celebrate the completion of renovations to the city's Clarks Cove Boat Access Area and the New Bedford Harbor Boat Access Area. The work completed at the two city boat access facilities will greatly enhance boating access and fishing opportunities in Buzzards Bay and Nantucket Sound.

DIRECTIONS:

• Take Route 24 South to Exit 12, Route 140 South
• Follow Route 140 South to Exit 2A, Interstate 195 East toward Cape Cod
• Take I-195 East about 1.5 miles to Exit 15, Route 18 South, toward downtown New Bedford
• Follow Route 18 South about 1 mile and continue onto JFK Memorial Highway
• Follow JFK Memorial Highway about 1.4 miles and continue onto West Rodney French Boulevard
• Follow West Rodney French Boulevard about 1.3 miles and look for access area on right, across from Hazelwood Park and Lucas Street.
