The purpose of the Education, Interpretation and Visitor Services is to increase the public's awareness and appreciation of the Commonwealth's natural, cultural and historical resources; and foster a sense of stewardship among citizens and visitors.

We are very proud of the over 250 farm attractions open to the public offering interesting and educational activities that will create memorable experiences.

DCR Parks offers many day-use areas that may be reserved for both large and small groups (large groups may be required to hire a law enforcement officer). Most areas are accessible to people of all abilities. Please contact the parks directly to find out the extent of accessibility that is available, and for more information about reservations, facilities, and fees.

No fishing license is required at these events! This schedule will be updated as events are confirmed throughout the year.

Agricultural fairs are a traditional American celebration of farming, farm families and the harvest of our State's bounty. Fairgrounds feature vegetable and garden demonstrations, musical performances, livestock shows, arts and crafts displays, and other fun activities.
