An Office of Technical Assistance and Technology (OTA) site visit is an opportunity for facility managers to obtain advice and guidance on available pollution prevention opportunities, new environmental technologies, best management practices, environmental compliance and cost savings.

OTA site visits are non-regulatory and provided at no charge to the facility. OTA site visits generally include a detailed walk-through of the facility by a team of OTA technical staff, in the company of facility representatives. Issues addressed include, but are not limited to: air quality, water use and wastewater management, chemical use, hazardous waste management, operations and maintenance, housekeeping, and recordkeeping. An emphasis is placed on pollution prevention opportunities, as well as ensuring compliance with relevant environmental regulations.

OTA site visits are available to facilities in Massachusetts where toxics are used, stored or manufactured, or where hazardous byproducts are generated.
