RE: Special Update 156
It is with great pleasure that I announce the appointment of Larry Tummino to the position of Deputy Commissioner at the Department of Mental Retardation. Larry has had an outstanding thirty-three year career with the Department. He has served as the Department's Assistant Commissioner for Field Operations since 1997 and previously served as an Assistant Deputy Commissioner, Deputy Assistant Commissioner for Community Programs and Operations, Director of the Office of Transportation, Director of Special Projects, Director of Mental Retardation Services for the Taunton area, and as the Director and House Manager of the Solomon House Program for the Paul A. Dever State School. His extensive skill and experience in the management and delivery of services to individuals and their families as well as in working with both state and private providers of service are among the exceptional assets that Larry brings to his new position.
Please join me in welcoming him as our Deputy Commissioner.
