If not so stated, you should submit resumes via mail. Fax machines vary in quality of printing and can result in a resume ending up misdirected or in the slush pile, as well as ruining carefully planned typography and layout. E-mail can garble a resume as well.

Unless specifically requested not to do so, follow-up e-mail or faxed resumes with mailed copies.

Always indicate that you are responding to a job ad posted on the Internet; it demonstrates initiative, creativity and computer skills!
