We assist individuals of all disabilities to go to work. If you are unemployed or underemployed, you may be able to benefit from vocational services. All VR consumers must reside in Massachusetts and be eligible to work in the United States. This Area Office serves the following communities: Amesbury, Andover, Boxford, Bradford, Byfield, Georgetown, Groveland, Haverhill, Lawrence, Merrimac, Methuen, Newbury, Newburyport, North Andover, Rowley, Salisbury, and West Newbury.

To Make a Referral

Any individual with a disability can inquire about obtaining services. Friends, relatives, and health care providers can also refer an individual to MRC. Our services are designed to assist individuals with disabilities to make informed choices about work. We have two easy ways you can start this process.

• Call and mention that you would like to arrange a referral. A member of our support staff will help you complete a short telephone inquiry and you will be assigned a counselor who will contact you to arrange an appointment.
• Walk into our office between the hours 8:00 am and 5:00 pm (Monday through Friday) and a member of our support staff will assist you.

Directions to Our Office

From south of Lawrence

1. Take route 93 north to route 495, Lawrence exit.
2. Take 2nd exit, this will be exit #41b, route 28 north.
3. About 500 yards bear left, this is the access road to route 28 north.
4. At the stop sign take a right, you will now be on route 28 north.
5. Go through 4 sets of stop lights.
6. At the 5th set of lights go right on to Merrimack Street.
7. Building will be on right just beforet he next set of lights.

From north of Lawrence

1. Take route 495 south to exit 45, (Marston Street/ downtown Lawrence).
2. Go straight on Marston Street.
3. Take a left onto Canal Street.
4. At the set of lights take a left on to Union Street, at the next set of lights take a right on to Merrimack Street. go through next set of lights, building will be on left.

From east of Lawrence

1. Take route 114 under route 495 into Lawrence.
2. After route 495 (showcase cinema on right) go straight through 5 sets of lights and under railroad tracks. 3. Building will be on the left just before the next set of lights.

From west of Lawrence

1. From mass pike east take route 290 east through Worcester to route 495 north.
2. After passing over route 93 continue on route 495 to exit 41b, route 28 north. this will be the second exit.
3. About 500 yards bear left, this is the access road to route 28 north.
4. At the stop sign take a right, you will now be on route 28 north.
5. Go through 4 sets of stop lights.
6. At the 5th set of lights go right on to Merrimack Street.
7. Building will be on right just beforet he next set of lights.
