Massachusetts Approach to Partnerships in Parenting (MAPP) Trainings
There is support for all foster and adoptive parents. If you become a foster or adoptive parent, a DCF Family Resource Worker can arrange for one of these classes. -
Fingerprinting Schedule
All prospective foster and adoptive families are now required to complete a national fingerprint check prior to being approved as a resource. -
Pre-Adoptive Support Group
The Department of Children and Families (DCF) Northern Region Pre-Adoptive Support Group is for approved adoptive families who are either waiting to be identified as a permanent resource for a child/children in the care of the Department, or for families that have been identified as a resource for a child/children and are in the process of transitioning the child/children into their home. The group is co-sponsored by The Department of Children and Families and The Kids’ Net Program, through The Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children (MSPCC).
The group meets the 2nd Thursday of every month from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm at Jordan's Furniture, 50 Walkers Brook Drive, Reading, Ma. If you have any questions or would like to attend, please contact Sue Genovese at 978-337-6500 or suegenovesehelp@gmail.com.
