This coverage type offers benefits to certain Medicare beneficiaries.
Service offerings
In MassHealth Senior Buy-In, covered services include payment of Medicare Part B premiums and deductibles and coinsurance under Medicare Parts A and B.
Populations served
You may be able to get MassHealth Senior Buy-In if you:
- are entitled to hospital benefits under Medicare Part A; and
- meet the universal requirements of MassHealth Standard coverage.
Eligibility criteria
You must give us proof of your income before taxes and other deductions and proof of your assets. You must have a countable income, including the income of the spouse with whom you live, that is less than or equal to 100% of the federal poverty level. Your countable assets must be $6,600 or less for an individual or $9,910 or less for a married couple living together.
