Red Sox Championship Trophy Visits Chelsea Soldiers’ Home

Photo: A resident and staff member made sure to stop by to see the trophy.
The Boston Red Sox recently brought their 2007 World Championship Trophy to the Chelsea Soldiers’ Home for all the resident veterans and employees to experience it. The event was organized by the Chelsea Soldiers’ Home Recreation Department and as you can imagine, was a huge success. Hundreds flocked to get a first-hand look at this holy grail of baseball and most took the time to have their photo taken alongside the trophy.

Keep Physically Fit

The warm summer months provide lots of opportunities to be outdoors. Take advantage of this to engage in regular physical activity and exercise to stay physically fit. Did you know that research has shown that we can all benefit from regular physical activity?

Remember, physical activity doesn’t have to be done in a gym — every time you walk up a flight of stairs instead of taking the elevator, go swimming, play catch with your kids, ride your bike instead of using the car to run errands, walk the dog, or just stay in motion you are getting exercise!

When you are physically fit, you look and feel better and you stay healthier. All it takes is at least 30 minutes of physical activity five days a week!
