On December 20, 2007, under the leadership of Governor Patrick, nine diverse state entities signed the Healthy Massachusetts Compact (HealthyMass), a cross-agency initiative to build on the successes of health care reform. Specifically, agencies across state government are working collaboratively to advance five goals that reflect the values and principles of the Patrick Administration: ensuring access to care; advancing health care quality; containing health care costs; promoting individual wellness; and promoting healthy communities.
