Here is a chance for DCF foster youth to explore career interests or learn first time job skills.  With the help of an Adolescent Outreach Worker or other designated staff youth identify employers in their community where they can volunteer up to eighty hours.  Referrals then can be made to the internship program. Approved youth  receive a stipend from DCF for the hours that they work.  This is a great way to gain some real life experience and build a resume.  Youth can also explore vocations and careers that they may be interested in. Contact the DCF area office Adolescent Outreach Worker for more information!
