Some of the winning and finalist posters from the past 5 years.

After an amazing 5-year run, we are taking a break from the Safe Jobs for Youth Poster Contest to work on another exciting initiative.

Thank you to the nearly 650 youth who submitted poster contest entries in the past years, to the over 280 youth judges from across the state who voted on  winners, and to the many teachers who used the contest as an assignment in their classrooms as a way of educating youth about workplace health and safety.

Over the next year, the Massachusetts YES Team, in conjunction with the Massachusetts Coalition for Occupational Safety and Health, will develop a social media campaign to promote workplace health and safety among all young workers.  The campaign will specifically target both teens under age 18 and young adults ages 18 - 24.

We will reach out to the community for ideas and support as we work on the campaign, particularly in the area of reaching young adults.  If you are a young adult, teacher, youth coordinator, or work with teens or young adults in any capacity, we encourage you to contact us with creative social media ideas.

E-mail us at teens.atwork@state.ma.us.

Again, thank you to all who participated in making this contest such a success! We look forward to continuing to work with you in the years to come.
