The National Health Service Corps (NHSC) at the federal Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) is committed to improving the health of the nation's underserved by uniting communities in need with health professionals, and supporting communities' efforts to build better systems of care. The NHSC helps medically underserved communities recruit and retain a range of primary care clinicians including dental, medical and mental and behavioral health professionals.

NHSC Recruitment and Retention Site Applications:  The Primary Care Office offers technical assistance for sites seeking to become NHSC placement sites and when appropriate, identifying sites eligible for NHSC placement in high-need communities. The Primary Care Office is the NHSC liaison for Massachusetts and participates in the approval process by assessing new recruitment and retention site applications.
