Massachusetts School Building Authority Approves Final Regulations
Regs Guarantee Equity and Financial Accountability September 7, 2006 - The Massachusetts School Building Authority (MSBA) Board and State Treasurer Tim Cahill, MSBA Chairman, yesterday unanimously approved final regulations for school construction projects, effective July 2007. The new regulations ensure that the Commonwealth's investment in local school construction is equitably distributed across all municipalities, and establishes a framework for approval of projects based upon identifiable deficiencies within buildings, particularly immediate health or safety issues or severe overcrowding.
