Your family receives services from a family support specialist trained to understand the needs of families with young children or expecting a child. Your family support specialist helps you set goals for your family and work towards those goals. Home visits may include:

  • Support in connecting to prenatal care
  • Help connecting your family to a medical home
  • Help with breastfeeding and care for your baby
  • Information on child development and early learning
  • Positive parenting strategies
  • Support in setting goals for their future; continuing your education
  • Help finding employment and childcare
