Re: Revised Advisory Ruling 98-01 Holistic Nursing and Complementary/Alternative Modalities
At the March 9, 2011 Board of Registration in Nursing (Board) meeting the Board issued revisions to Advisory Ruling 98-01 Holistic Nursing and Complementary/Alternative Modalities, updating the former Advisory Ruling 98-01 Holistic Nursing and Complementary Therapies.
The Advisory Ruling guides the practice of Registered Nurses and Licensed Practical Nurses who, within their practice, incorporate complementary/alternative modalities (CAM) to meet such nursing and client goals including, but not limited to, increased comfort, relief of pain, relaxation, improved coping mechanisms, reduction of stress, an increased sense of well-being comprehensive health promotion and health risk reduction.
