The regulatory amendments expand upon current requirements to include:
- Reporting of prescription records for Schedules II - V
- Collection and reporting of customer ID information for Schedules II - V
- Reporting by out-of-state pharmacies that deliver a prescription to a person in Massachusetts, in addition to MA pharmacies
- Reporting no less frequently than weekly
A revised guidance document, the "Prescription Monitoring Program (PMP) Handbook for the Pharmacist and Pharmacy Software Provider" is available at www.mass.gov/dph/dcp.
