This is to notify the pharmacy community and the public that the recent changes to requirements for data and customer ID collection and reporting to the Massachusetts Prescription Monitoring Program (PMP) became effective January 1, 2011 for all pharmacy providers.

The regulatory amendments expand upon current requirements to include:

  • Reporting of prescription records for Schedules II - V
  • Collection and reporting of customer ID information for Schedules II - V
  • Reporting by out-of-state pharmacies that deliver a prescription to a person in Massachusetts, in addition to MA pharmacies
  • Reporting no less frequently than weekly
