Notice of public comment period under the authority of M.G.L. c.6, s. 140 and pursuant to M.G.L. c. 30A, s. 3, The Massachusetts Commission for the Blind (MCB) proposes to rescind regulations at 111 CMR 9.00 Criminal Offender Record Checks. The purpose of the regulation is to establish policy and procedures regarding the review of criminal records of candidates for employment with MCB. MCB is rescinding the regulation because it is superseded by the Executive Office of Health and Human Services regulation at 101 CMR 15.00 governing policy and procedures on the same topic for its departments and agencies. All persons desiring to submit data, views or arguments concerning these proposed actions shall file the same with the General Counsel of the Massachusetts Commission for the Blind at 600 Washington Street, Boston Massachusetts, 02111 by Friday, April 15, 2016.
