11:00 a.m.: 101 CMR 428.00: Rates for Certain Independent Living Communities and Services Pursuant to M.G.L. Chapter 118E, section 13D, EOHHS is required to establish and biennially update the rates to be paid by governmental units for social service programs. In accordance with this statutory requirement, the proposed regulation establishes the rates to be paid by governmental units for Certain Independent Living Communities and Services. Social service programs with rates to be established by this regulation include the following: 1) Vocational Rehabilitation Independent Living Services, purchased by the Massachusetts Rehabilitation Commission (MRC); 2) Independent living Services purchased by the Massachusetts Commission for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (MCDHH); and 3) Recovery Learning Communities purchased by the Department of Mental Health (DMH). This proposed regulation is planned to go into effect no sooner than July 1, 2017. There is no fiscal impact on cities and towns.
Individuals who notify EOHHS of their intent to testify at the hearing will be afforded an earlier opportunity to speak.
