CMS Tamper-proof Rx FAQ
Since this document was published, Congress passed the health care extender bill H.R. 3668 which, among other things, delays by six months the implementation of the tamper-resistant prescription law, scheduled to go into effect on October 1, 2007. Due to this new legislation, MassHealth will not require tamper-resistant prescriptions until the federal requirements become effective on April 1, 2008. -
