Community Listening Sessions*

The Expanded Gaming Act of 2011, Chapter 194: An Act Establishing Expanded Gaming in Massachusetts, Section 58 creates a Public Health Trust Fund “to assist social service and public health programs dedicated to addressing problems associated with compulsive gambling including, but not limited to, gambling prevention and addiction services, substance abuse services, educational campaigns to mitigate the potential addictive nature of gambling and any studies and evaluations necessary, including the annual research agenda…”

The Massachusetts Department of Public Health and the Massachusetts Gaming Commission invite you to Community Listening Sessions to share information and opinions about problem gambling. This information will be used to advise the use of the Public Health Trust Fund including future directions of gambling related research and the content of a Public Health Gambling Services Strategic Plan to inform the delivery of comprehensive, statewide prevention, intervention, treatment, and recovery support services.
