There are several ways to access EVS, all of which require providers to have a user ID and password. To obtain a user ID and password, each provider must sign a MassHealth trading partner agreement. All EVS access methods can be used for eligibility verification. Some of these methods can be used to check the status of an adjudicated claim. Listed below are the methods available for accessing EVS.

For providers with high-speed Internet access who conduct eligibility-verification and claim-status transactions:

  • POSC (Provider Online Service Center)
  • EVSpc software – Will be terminated on 09/01/2015

For providers with no Internet access:

  • Automated Voice Response (AVR) system
