Information on how to obtain a nursing license including APRN authorization, applications, forms, fees, statistics, renewal eligibility for expired out of state discipline, verification and other frequently asked questions. Pursuant to M.G.L. Chapter 112 ยงยง 80 and 80A, all nurses who practice within Massachusetts are required to have a current Massachusetts license. Massachusetts is not a member of the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC). Additional information regarding the NLC can be found on the National Council of State Boards of Nursing website.
