With over 4,000 active users and approximately 84,000 queries run annually, MassCHIP continues to be a valuable resource for a large population. We are always interested in educating the public on how to use MassCHIP, since it is a wonderful tool to use in accessing health statistics around Massachusetts.

We provide two types of trainings which can easily be tailored to fit your needs as users.
Demonstration
(40 minutes - 1 hour depending on the needs of those requesting):
- Provides a general overview of the MassCHIP system.
- Outlines the different data sets included within MassCHIP.
- Defines Instant Topics and Custom Reports as well as details their differences.
- Brief look at Statistical, Charting, and Mapping features.
- Offers examples of Created Queries.
Training
(1 - 2 hours depending on the needs of those requesting):
- Provides a general overview of the MassCHIP system.
- Outlines the different data sets included within MassCHIP.
- Guides users through in viewing Instant Topics.
- Guides users through the creation of a number of Custom Reports.
- Details the differences between the two types of reports available.
- Offer query examples which include MassCHIP's custom group and sorting features.
- Analyze results received using statistical measures available in MassCHIP.
- Explore charting and mapping features.
- Importing Results Grid into Excel.
- Printing Reports.
- Offers examples of Created Queries.
- Assist users in generating their own queries. (if computer lab is available for hand-on training)
