FILING A COMPLAINT WITH THE MASSACHUSETTS DEPARTMENT OF CRIMINAL JUSTICE INFORMATION SERVICES (DCJIS)

An individual may file a complaint with the DCJIS for any of the following reasons:

  1. Improper access to, or dissemination of, Massachusetts Criminal Offender Record Information (CORI).
  2. Improper access to, or dissemination of, personal information, including, but not limited to, driver’s license data, driver history data, and national criminal history, provided that information was obtained from or through the Criminal Justice Information System (CJIS).
  3. Alleged violation of the CORI statute or of DCJIS regulations by an individual or organization.
  4. An individual’s CORI contains incorrect information.

FILING A COMPLAINT:

The DCJIS accepts complaints filed both electronically and on paper.
