On Monday, May 7, 2012, the Department of Criminal Justice Information Services (DCJIS) will implement the new iCORI service. This web-based service will allow users to access Massachusetts criminal offender record information (CORI) over the internet.

As part of the implementation of iCORI, some requestors will be required to pay a fee for CORI. These requestors will use the Commonwealth's electronic payment (e-pay) system to make payment. This system requires the use of credit card.

The DCJIS has received several requests from credit card users for a merchant identification number. Due to security concerns, the DCJIS is not able to provide this information. However, organizations can request their credit card issuing banks to only permit a transaction type, product type, and business based on Merchant Category Code 9399 – Government Services.
