When Daylight Savings Time ends on November 6 and you change your clock, please also remember to change the batteries in your smoke alarms (unless they have a 10-year lithium battery). It’s also a good time to check your carbon monoxide alarms and replace them if they have reached the end of their lives.

Also included in this month’s Briefs are an advisory on regulation updates relative to smoke and carbon monoxide detection and maintenance of devices, and advisory on our Smoke Alarm Public Awareness Campaign, upcoming training opportunities, and public safety information.

Please be sure to avail yourself to all of the important information contained in the November DFS Briefs.
