Hampden Fire Remains Under Investigation
Investigators Ask for Public’s Help
The April 5, 2013 fire at 283 Somers Road in Hampden remains under investigation by the Hampden Fire Department, Hampden Police Department and State Police assigned to the Office of the State Fire Marshal. Evidence has been secured by the investigative team for laboratory analysis. In the meantime, they are looking for any information the public may have to develop additional leads that will help them determine the origin and cause of the fire.
If anyone saw or heard anything in the area between 6 and 10 p.m. on the evening of Friday, April 5, 2013, they are encouraged to call the Arson Hotline at 1-800-682-9229. The cause of fire remains under investigation. The Arson Hotline is the only toll-free statewide number available for the public to use to come forward with any information that might help ultimately determine the cause of the fire. All calls are confidential.
