Public’s Help Sought in Attempted Arson at Peabody Knights of Columbus Hall

State Fire Marshal Peter J. Ostroskey, Peabody Fire Chief Steven Pasdon, and Peabody Police Chief Thomas Griffin are asking for the public’s help to solve an attempted arson last night at the Knights of Columbus hall at 96 Main Street, Peabody.

“Anyone who heard or saw anything last night around 9 p.m. in the area of the Knights of Columbus hall is asked to call the statewide Arson Hotline at 1-800-689-9229,” said State Fire Marshal Ostroskey. “All calls are confidential,” he added. The Arson Hotline is part of the Arson Watch Reward Program that is funded by the property and casualty insurance companies of Massachusetts. The Arson Watch Reward Program offers rewards of up to $5,000 for information that helps to solve the case of arson.

The attempted arson is being jointly investigated by the Peabody Fire and Police Departments and State Police assigned to the Office of the State Fire Marshal.
