Public’s Help Sought in East Bridgewater Attempt to Burn

State Fire Marshal Peter J. Ostroskey, East Bridgewater Fire Chief Timothy M. Harhen and East Bridgewater Police Chief Scott Allen are asking for the public’s help with an attempted arson at 77 Captain’s Way in East Bridgewater. This was a one-family home under construction. The fire occurred sometime between Thursday evening June 1 and 6:30 a.m. on Friday, June 2, 2017.

Anyone with information about the fire is asked to call the Arson Hotline at 1-800-682-9229. All calls are confidential. The Arson Hotline is part of the Arson Watch Reward Program that provides rewards of up to $5,000 for information that helps to solve the crime of arson. It is funded by the property and casualty insurance companies of Massachusetts.

The fire is being jointly investigated by the East Bridgewater Fire and Police Departments and State Police assigned to the Office of the State Fire Marshal.
