October/November 2013

October 1 – Rehab 7 was sent to Walden Pond in Concord to provide services to the people searching for a missing person last seen swimming in the pond.

October 5 – ISU 1 was scheduled to work as a Unified Command Post for a large scale event in Hopedale.

October 10 – Two lighting plants were sent to Maynard to provide lighting for safety and security during a large fireworks display.

October 11 – Rehab 6 was dispatched to a multi-alarm structure fire in Milton.

October 11 – ISU 3 and Rehab 6 from Middleboro and two lighting plants from DFS in Stow, were sent to Wareham Fire to be used as a CP for coordination of events relating to the wake of a retired fire chief.  The Rehab was sent to the staging/parking area for set up and use.

October 12 & 13 – Both Gators were sent to Yarmouth for use as EMS transport units as part of a response plan to a large festival.

October 19 – ISU 3 who was on scene for communications and coordination efforts  at an evening road race in Raynham.

October 25 – Rehab 7 was dispatched to a multi-alarm fire in an occupied school.

October 27 – ISU 2 and Rehab 5 were dispatched to Hadley for a 4 alarm building fire. The unit was used as a Command Post and for communications platform. The vehicle remained on scene and used for the investigation team after the fire was knocked down. The ISU cleared the scene on October 29th.

October 28 – ISU3 was dispatched to Duxbury Fire to assist with communications while they had a failure within their communications center.

November 25 – The HVAC unit was dispatched to Southbridge to provide emergency heat in the fire station while repairs could be made to the building’s system.

November 30 – Rehab 6 was sent to a structure fire at an elderly housing development in Plymouth.

November 30 – Rehab 7 was requested to support the firefighters at a structure fire in Framingham.
