Officer Programs - Specialty Training - Fire Prevention
Officer Programs:This 60-hour program is designed to address the Job Performance Requirements for NFPA 1021 Fire Officer Professional Qualifications. A 12 hour Strategy / Tactics & for the Company Officer program, which includes classroom lecture and computer simulations. A three-day Incident Safety Officer Program designed to meet the Job Performance Requirements of NFPA 1521 Fire Department Safety Officer.
Chief Fire Officer Management Program Presented in partnership with the University of Massachusetts Donahue Institute, this program is designed to address the objectives of NFPA 1021 for Fire Officer III & IV. |
Specialty Training:This 36- hour Instructor program is designed to meet the Job Performance Requirements of NFPA 1041 Fire Service Instructor Professional Qualifications. This 36-hour program is designed to meet the Job Performance Requirements of NFPA 1041 Fire Service Instructor Professional Qualifications. A three-day basic Rapid Intervention program, which includes classroom lecture and practical evolutions. An advanced fourth day of practical evolutions for the company officer is also available. Flammable Gas Firefighter Training 1 Flammable Gas Firefighter Training 2 A two-day program consisting of classroom and practical sessions, which provides students with knowledge of the general properties of flammable gases. Fire Prevention:The Department of Fire Services, in conjunction with the Divisions of Training and Fire Safety, is introducing a multilevel training program for fire prevention officers. The training will prepare them to receive credentials for each level of the training from the State Fire Marshal. Code Enforcement Training Code Enforcement training that will provide an overview of CMR's and their application in the day-to-day fire code enforcement. |
